Prior to that she had been Chief Executive of both Kings Cross Partnership in London and Hulme Regeneration Ltd in Manchester. Lesley has taken a particular interest in the encouragement and facilitation of quality and added value in the creation and repair of the built environment. She led the teams that produced the Guide to Development in Hulme [1993] and the Guide to Development in Manchester [1996], which informed the rebuilding of Manchester City Centre after the IRA bomb. She later worked on the Urban Design Compendium (with Llewelyn Davies) for English Partnerships and The Housing Corporation. She has worked with the International Urban Regeneration Association (INTA) from time to time, and has been a member of the Congress for New Urbanism (CNU) in the USA since 1998, attending their annual congress and working with some leading CNU members in the UK through The Prince's Foundation, in particular. |

He was formerly the Liverpool City Centre Neighbourhood Manager, Town Centre Manager in Warrington and worked in the private sector as a Development Manager at Clear Channel UK. Prior to that he had worked in a variety of roles for Liverpool City Council for 14 years. He was a director of the Association of Town Centre Management from 1995 to 2006 and is an advisory member of the L1 Partnership Board in Liverpool. |

This opened his eyes to the enjoyment of the profession and lead to a fulfilling 4 years at Sheffield Hallam University, of which one year was a gap spent working on development projects at Lambert Smith Hampton. David then left to work in the Business Premises Department at Mason Owen for three great years, before leaving to join Bruntwood where he says he has been challenged and excited in equal measures for nearly a decade. He is now a full Board Director at Bruntwood and sits in a none executive advisory role to Everyman Playhouse Trust on their proposed investment/building programme. |
