The Liverpool Commercial District Business Improvement District (BID) ballot closed on 27 May 2011. The ballot was run independently by the Electoral Reform Society and was overseen by a representative from the Liverpool City Council Electoral Services.

The results are as follows:

  • The total number of valid votes cast in the ballot: 289
  • The total number of votes in favour: 173 (59.9%)
  • The total number of votes against: 116 (40.1%)
  • The total number of votes in favour by rateable value: £16,785,500
  • The total number of votes against by rateable value: £7,357,500
  • Percentage turnout of ratepayers: 33.7%

The BID term begins on 1st June 2011 and runs until 31st May 2016.
