A thriving business location at the heart of a revitalised and vibrant premier European city
Marco Pierre White makes his mark on Merseyside
Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White visited his latest venue in the commercial district and Claire House Children’s Hospice as part of a tour of the region.
The Kitchen Burnout star toured the site of Hotel Indigo, the brand new £15m boutique hotel currently under construction in Chapel Street, in the city’s commercial district.
The 151-bed, four-star hotel will feature a restaurant, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill, and is set to open in Spring 2011.
Marco said: “The hotel and restaurant will bring a touch of affordable glamour to the vibrant commercial district and give other restaurants and hotels in the area a run for their money.
“The site is developing well with minimum disruption to surrounding businesses and we look forward to operating next spring.”
Marco also visited Claire House as part of his Merseyside tour, where he offered a night’s free accommodation at his venues – The Swan Inn in Aughton and Doubletree by Hilton Chester – to the families of several of the children who stay at the hospice.
He also donated stays at forthcoming venues in Liverpool and Wirral, due to open next year, for Claire House fundraising events.
